What is an influencer armor set? This can prove to be significant if you a have a lot of companions b have a lot of Alt characters. Which reduces the cost and the over all amount of time required to give the gifts. The easiest and cheapest way to obtain these is at the lvl 8 fleet vendor. He is located in the fleet supply section in the first left side outer level bay, on the left of the the first desk.
The method to obtain these can be time consuming and tedious. But you only need to do it once for your legacy if you do it my way. First obtain a full legacy Armor set that can be worn by any new lvl 1 character. Put this aside in your legacy cargo hold ready to use when you get your amplifiers. You can then keep it here and take it out and use it for any Alt when you need to give gifts 2.
Go to the gear vendor location on the fleet I mentioned above and find the vendor at the desk that has the gear with lvl 8 blue internal armor, mods and enhancements. He has two sorts of gear. The gear with the mods in them is where you get the amps from. Buy about items of the same type at the time that have internals in them.
Keep doing this until you get influential amps. When you have enough amps for 7 pieces of armor, you can rip out the amps from each one and put it into your legacy set you created. You can also do this for main and off hand weapons, but it requires a little bit of extra work and storage and not all classes can have a legacy off hand they can use at lvl 1. Obviously this is useless to wear in combat or out questing. So just keep it in your legacy cargo bay and take it out to equip while giving gifts and place it back.
