Each one could have a different minor function, depending on their rarity. I like the idea of fluff actions too though acting like they're helping in battle. I wouldn't mind some small passive bonus from some though. It's not like that would ever be enough to matter for anything, but it would feel like the pet was helping you somehow.

Though, most of all I would love the pet that retrieves drops. Oh, and it would be kind of neat if flying pets would land and rest when you haven't moved in a little while. I also wish you could bind one to your dimension so it could run around some small area there.
